JapShow Finale 2019 Report

The trouble with weather forecasting is that it’s right too often for us to ignore it and wrong too often for us to rely on it! Despite a wet and windy day, we did have some spells of sunshine and Japshow Finale was as dedicated to showcasing power, performance and perfection as ever! We witnessed an exhilarating line up of Japans fastest and finest masterpiece as the Show Paddock, Club Displays, FWD Drag Series and RWYB presented some legendary machines in true Jap style.

The Show Paddock hosted the Autoglym Show & Shine Competition, displaying some fantastic high-spec vehicles making it difficult for the judges to decide. These fantastic machines are really worth admiring, the winners were as follows:

FWD DRAG SERIES
There has been many ups and downs for all of our racers by their own high standards this season but the star of the season and 2019 Champion is Dougie Gemmel! It was great to see new faces in the series this year with Scott Lewry, Brad Morgan and Josh Holmes all making their debuts.

A massive congratulations to Dougie Gemmel for winning the 2018 Championship and well done to Runner up Allan Duthie.

Throughout the day the legend himself DJ Richie Don kept us entertained with the perfect JapShow Finale soundtracks on the live stage. The Live Action Arena left us as astounded as ever as Clumsy & Evan from Bowers stunts showcased some of the most technical freestyle tricks and Jon Moore pulled out all the stops in a fleet or Terry Grant’s cars where we witness some sensational precision driving. Not forgetting drifting and burning rubber galore over in our drift arena as well as the Fireforce 5 Jet Dragster flying down the ¼ mile in an incredible 5.66 seconds at 211.82mph!
From all of us here at Santa Pod, we would like to thank everyone who attended JapShow Finale 2019, we hope you had a brilliant day!
